Excellent quality hotel next to a huge mall
You know what you get with Sokos hotels, everything always up to their standards of quality. Excellent location next to train station and Tripla mall. Breakfast buffet is enormous with vast amount of selections. Room is very nice and modern.

Great location, lovely room and amazing breakfast!!
Location, location, location! The hotel is just off the lobby of Pasila rail terminal, where all intercity and local trains out of Helsinki stop, so it's very convenient for travelling to/from other parts of Finland, or to airport, and locally. FAO summer visitors, it's also about 10 minute walk from Linnanmaki theme park and you can see the theme park from 'city view' rooms, which look towards Helsinki, and the sea beyond. These rooms are also great for trainspotters, it's kind of fun to observe the double deckers and other trains going back and forth. But it's very quiet - you don't hear traffic noise at all. The style of rooms is modern and we loved the window wall :D We loved the location 'at the mall' as it was fun to shop and visit the food court, and many cafes. There's also 24h Alepa store with salad bar, snacks, drinks, etc. We tend to come here on every Helsinki trip with family as it's cheaper than central Hki but the mall means there's something to do - even cinema - until late, which is great with teenagers :D There's also amazing breakfast with Finnish delicacies - try rahka (creamy berry/yoghurt mix) and Karelia rice pies with egg butter and a bit of crispy bacon on top :D And there's luggage storage if you head out to exploring on your arrival / departure day.
At busy times you might find the lobby full of visitors, so if you want to talk to reception staff you need to get a queueing number from near the mall doors - this is not obvious to international visitors. However, if you don't need any assistance look out for a number of tablets they provide for self-check in, which are super easy to use, and you can load 2 keys per room easily. Excellent service. So this was not really a complaint but a tip as the Q looked very long on our arrival.

Very convenient and all the required facilities.
Brand new - super clean - right in a shopping centre so restaurants and shopping abounds. Also connected to the train station.
Was a bit crowded at breakfast and sometimes in the lobby
